Patagonia Rally
2028
The ultimate Patagonian expedition
Embark on an extraordinary rally across the most breathtaking landscapes of Chilean and Argentine Patagonia. This grand southern expedition weaves seamlessly between crystal clear lakes, soaring volcanoes, remote fjords, and endless open pampas.
The journey sets off from coastal Puerto Montt, diving immediately into lush primary rainforests toward the wild sanctuary of Futangue and the fairytale woods of Huilo Huilo. Crossing the Andes mountains, the route enters Argentina to reach Villa Pehuenia, nestled along the turquoise waters of Lake Alumine. From there, the famous Seven Lakes Route unfolds its panoramic curves through San Martin de los Andes down to Bariloche, an alpine gem resting on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
Heading further south, the rally reenters Chile to conquer the legendary Carretera Austral. Winding past deep fjords, moss draped forests, and natural thermal springs, the road tracks through untouched wilderness around Puyuhuapi and Puerto Chacabuco.
Crossing back into the Argentine steppe, the drive reaches the town of Perito Moreno before taking a spectacular scenic loop back into the Chilean wilderness to explore the remote and pristine beauty of El Canal. Returning to the vast Patagonian plains, the route journeys south to the towering peaks of El Chalten, a world renowned haven for adventurers, before continuing to El Calafate, the legendary gateway to glacier country.
The grand finale brings you back into Chile for an entrance into the majestic Torres del Paine National Park, a dramatic world of granite spires, wind swept plains, and abundant wildlife. Following a scenic stretch through Puerto Natales along the Last Hope Sound, the final miles of this legendary expedition lead to the edge of the continent at Punta Arenas, overlooking the Strait of Magellan. It is an exceptional itinerary crafted for true explorers and lovers of pure driving.
